About Us

I started Gritté (Pronounced Grit) because I needed to back myself. I walked away from my full-time “safe” job and decided to build something of my own.

The very first drop was tees, printed on blanks, with images I had hunted down and bought the copyrights for. I was, and still am, incredibly proud of that.

When those first pieces sold out on pre-sale, something shifted. I realised I wasn’t just making clothes I have a community behind me. And that lit a fire in my chest. I wanted more for Gritté. More for myself. A better product for the people who believe in me. So I've gotten serious, really serious. I've knuckled down, spent endless nights sampling piece after piece, talking to manufacturers, learning, refining. I know one thing for sure: every single design has to be and is ethical, sustainable, and made with purpose. 

I’m still making tees, but not the way I started. Now they’re ours from the ground up: sourced, designed, cut, stitched, and printed with intention. No blanks, no shortcuts. Just pieces that are truly Gritté’s own. And the beauty of doing it this way? It’s opened the door for more. We’ve got five collections already in the works, rolling out from September 2025 to December 2026.

None of this would exist without the late-night talks with my girlfriends, or the constant support of my husband who’s been behind me every step of the way. This brand is as personal as it gets. It’s not fast fashion. It’s a feeling. Gritté is for the ones building a life with no blueprint. For those who move with quiet confidence, who carry both softness and strength, and who speak through what they wear.
